Abstract

Goal of this work is to describe some of the basic methods to generate sound in digital music synthesizers. Furthermore, to describe how to change characteristics of this generated sound, like for example tone color and volume, with some basic tools that are commonly found on real digital synthesizers. And of course to describe how these tools works. And then use this knowledge to implement real-time digital software FM synthesizer, which aside of implementation of the FM synthesis is also going to implement these basic methods for changing generated tone.
