Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the design of a photovoltaic power plant with energy storage for a specific building in Ostrava. The thesis focuses on electrical energy storage, therefore examining various types of storage, but primarily battery storage systems, which are the most widespread today. The thesis analyzes the optimal battery storage system with regard to the photovoltaic power plant. The battery storage system was designed so that the initial investment would be returned within the expected lifespan. Furthermore, the thesis shows what the battery storage system would look like if the production of the photovoltaic power plant were higher.
