Současná úloha průmyslových zón v České republice

Abstract

The primary objective of this thesis is to evaluate the importance of industrial zones in the Czech Republic, which are an important tool in support of regional development. This thesis is also dealing with effects of foreign direct investments as a related topic especially in the process of filling up of the industrial zones. The chosen problem was solved by an analysis of national programmes supporting the creation of industrial zones and the system of investment incentives. The evaluation was supported by the analysis of current state of analogous initiatives in the neighbour countries and by their evolution on background of economic transformation from the 90’s. The study assessed the impacts of creating industrial zones on economic and social situation of regions. The results enable to propose changes of current approaches in order to increase its effectiveness.
