Abstract

The diploma thesis solves the problem that has been discussed in the city of Jicin since the ice stadium was reconstructed. The problem is that local citizens consider the reconstruction as unnecessary and disagree with it. In the theoretical part, various concepts related to the topic are explained. In the practical part, the state of the ice stadium before and after the reconstruction, the structure of users and capacity utilization for the last season of 2012/2013 is outlined with the help of the current situation description and the SWOT analysis. Furthermore there is the comparison of the operating costs of the old and the new ice stadium of the city (operational contributions) and its operators that is The Sport Facilities of Jicin City. With help of the description to bring the facts about the history of the city of Jicin and mainly those related to the ice stadium and the home club HC Jicin. The last task is to find out the public view of the reconstruction, the functionality, the aesthetics of the construction and the prices set by the operator by the questionnaire method. This thesis can serve to all citizens in order to reconsider or to create their own opinion on whether It was or wasn´t appropriate to carry out the reconstruction as It summarizes all the pros and cons of the reconstruciton.
