REVITALIZACE ZÁMECKÉHO AREÁLU V DOUBRAVĚ

Abstract

The subject of this diploma thesis is a project for the revitalization of the chateau and its surrounding area. The chateau was built in the second half of the 18th century and it is located in the Doubrava village, in the district of Karviná. The advantage of the area is its location in the centre of the village, near the square, municipal office and the church of St. Hedwig. The Doubrava village benefits from a strategic position near the cities of Ostrava and Karviná. Currently, the complex is in poor technical condition. The buildings are not in use and the surrounding land is rented for horse breeding. The site development is planned within the POHO2030 project. The work aim is a project for the revitalization of the buildings, a proposal for utilization of the area potential and, moreover, pointing out the adaptation possibilities for the municipality and the whole region’s current needs. The area should be used as an environmental centre in the future, according to the client's request. The chateau will be newly used as an educational object.
