Uživatelské testování webových stránek dopravních společností

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the user testing of the websites of two dominant private transport companies in the Czech Republic, RegioJet a.s. and Leo Express Global a.s. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the user-friendliness and usability of these platforms, with a specific focus on occasional travelers. The theoretical part defines key concepts in the field of online marketing, web design, UX/UI, and testing methods. The practical part is based on qualitative user testing with 8 respondents aged 21 to 81, who completed 11 predefined and tasks. Data analysis combines the measurement of time, success rate, and subjective difficulty with a thematic analysis of user behavior. The results revealed critical barriers for both carriers, such as information overload, hidden cancellation policies, and confusing terminology for RegioJet, or low visual contrast, poor discoverability of contacts, and confusing marketing terminology for Leo Express. Based on the identified shortcomings, the conclusion formulates specific recommendations for optimizing both web interfaces in order to reduce the cognitive load of users and create a more accessible digital environment.
