Abstract

The work is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The subject of the theoretical part of the thesis is research post-mine areas in Odra river in the city of Ostrava, mapping existing state facilities, evaluation surveys and define options for future use. The practical part will be proposed housing solutions of unsocial character and possibly other supporting functions in a former mine Oskar (Lidice), as one of the suitable representatives post-mine areas (resulting from the theoretical part). This way of living is focused on a relatively narrow group of people of productive age as an alternative type of housing in the suburban environment with the historical background and the spirit of the place in nature. The main objective of this thesis is to show the current status of post-mine areas in Ostrava, the way it is treated today and how it might be in the future. Future use is demonstrated on the example of the conversion of one of the representatives of areas for housing an effort to preserve the existing values ​​in conjunction with the new application.
