Význam Korejské republiky jako obchodního partnera pro Evropskou unii a Českou republiku

Abstract

Rozvoj obchodních partnerství a rámcové spolupráce je strategickým cílem Evropské unie za účelem vytvoření otevřeného a spravedlivého obchodního systému, který je založen na abolici tarifních a netarifních opatření a podpoře myšlenky liberalizace. Za posledních deset let došlo k výraznému posunu ze strany evropských představitelů v uzavírání dohod o vytvoření zóny volného obchodu hned s několika významnými ekonomickými celky, mimo jiné s Korejskou republikou v roce 2011. Diplomová práce se zabývá vymezením klíčových determinantů rozvoje korejské ekonomiky a zhodnocením postavení a významnosti obchodní výměny a investic mezi Korejí a Evropskou unií, respektive Korejí a Českou republikou. Prostřednictvím komplexní analýzy obchodní bilance a vývoje přímých zahraničních investic jsou charakterizovány klíčové aspekty bilaterálního partnerství. Jsou popsány významné obchodní komodity, investiční projekty a přínosy vzájemné spolupráce. Při zpracování diplomové práce byla použita odborná literatura a internetové zdroje zabývající se problematikou korejského hospodářského rozvoje s dopadem na ostatní ekonomické celky. V rámci práce byly použity standardní vědecké metody, především pak metoda komparace, analýzy, syntézy a dedukce. Ze závěru diplomové práce vyplývá, že zjištěné poznatky ze srovnání vývoje zahraničního obchodu a investic mezi EU a Korejí potvrdily důležitost sjednání zóny volného obchodu mezi těmito zeměmi. Česká republika podporuje usazení korejských investic, prostřednictvím nichž podporuje regiony, které by se jinak mohly stát sociálně vyloučenými z důvodu nevytváření pracovních míst a další podpory podnikatelských aktivit. Česko-korejské partnerství bylo navíc podpořeno vstupem ČR do EU v roce 2004. Otevřená česká ekonomika profituje z vnitřního trhu EU, který de facto stimuluje i korejské firmy k investicím v Česku.

The European Union seeks to develop an open and fair trading system based on tariff abolition and liberalization by establishing business partnerships and framework agreements. Over the last ten years, there has been a significant shift from the EU towards free trade agreements and framework agreements with several economically important countries, including the Republic of Korea in 2011. The thesis is to determine the key factors of Korean economy development and to evaluate the position and the significance of the trade and investments between Korea and the European Union, as well as between Korea and the Czech Republic. With regard on comprehensive analysis of the balance of trade and foreign direct investments, key aspects of bilateral partnership are described, especially important commodities, investment projects and the benefits from the cooperation. A scientific literature as well as internet resources dealing with the Korean economic development with an impact on other economic entities have been used. Standard scientific methods were applied, especially the method of comparison, analysis, synthesis and deduction. Regarding the main findings from a foreign trade and investment development between the EU and Korea, the thesis has confirmed the importance of negotiating the Korea-EU Free Trade Agreement. Czech Republic supports the establishment of Korean investments, through which it supports regions that would become socially excluded, due to not creating enough jobs and other support to businesses. The Czech accession to the EU in 2004 has further strengthened the Czech-Korean partnership. The Czech open economy has benefited from the EU internal market, which is de facto the stimulus for Korean companies to invest in the country.
