Abstract
The present thesis deals with the influence of kaolinitic additives on the strength properties of poly(urea-co-urethane)cement composite. The experimental part is focused on the formulation of the initial recipe by selecting a suitable ratio of polyurethane to cement, decarbonating additives and suitable sand as mineral filler; determination of compressive and flexural tensile strength of the basic and substituted formulations and phase characterization of the resulting material. The most interesting results were obtained with a one-fifth substitution of cement with metakaolin and a one-sixth addition of an aliquot of white zeolite to cement. In these two cases, the material was closest to the original Techfloor s.r.o. material and in the process reduced the carbon footprint of the composite.
