Požáry tropických deštných pralesů a jejich vliv na životní prostředí

Abstract

Diploma thesis deals with tropical rainforest fires and their impact on the ecosystem. The thesis describes the tropical rainforest, the types and geographical location. Theoretical part of the work deals with tropical rainforest fires and their negative impact on flora and fauna. The experimental part focuses on the fire simulation involving tropical timber and preparation of extinguishing water samples. The benefits of this thesis are performed ecotoxicity tests of captured extinguishing water – semichronical toxicity test on white mustard (Sinapis alba) and bioluminescence test on Vibrio fischeri. The aim was to assess the negative impact of tropical rainforest fires on the environment by determining the ecotoxicity of extinguishing water.
