Fotogrammetrická dokumentace archeologického naleziště Rusovce - Gerulata u Bratislavy

Abstract

The diploma thesis "Photogrammetric Documentation of the Archaeological Site Rusovce – Gerulata“ is focused on photogrammetric documentation of the site and also laser scanning processing and 3D models production. The thesis is divided to four larger parts. The first one gives a brief characteristics of the site, a short summary of researches and a description of the documentation, which is necessary to complete after the end of a digging season or project. The second and third one concentrate on theoretical knowledge: a history of photogrammetry, principles and data processing in close-range photogrammetry, physical priniciples of laser scanners, methods and techniques of data processing from laser scanning. Tha last part describes fieldwork and work in an office done to create 3D models from laser scanning and photography. The main aim of the thesis is to point out the importance of usage of these methods in archaeology and their placement to the documentation to increase the quality of the final project documentation.
