Abstract

In this work I deal with the issue of handling old environmental pollution on the site of Ostramo Lagoons in Ostrava, urban district Mariánské Hory. The main goal of my work, beside dealing with safety issues in the sanitation of Ostramo Lagoons from the geomechanice point of view, is to list possible methods of treating organic sludge in the Lagoons, namely in terms of its further use, and objectively evaluate the current methodology of sludge treatment. Considering the current negative approach to general dealing with old environmental pollution, based on a summary of all available knowledge, the goal is also to design an innovative treatment methodology, which would be effective mainly by minimizing negative environmental impact and maximizing its secondary use.
