Abstract
The bachelor's thesis describes the gradual development and current issues of pumping and cleaning mine water from the central part of the North Bohemian Lignite Basin (SHP), it is mainly focused on the pumping of mine water from wind pit MR 1 of the former Kohinoor II mine near the village of Mariánské Radčice in the district of Most. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to clarify the reasons for pumping mine water, describe the entire process using a specific example and evaluate the effectiveness of cleaning. From 2021, mine waters are purified in the Biotechnological Mine Water Purification System. It is a unique wetland treatment plant, the goal of which is to ensure a stable, low-cost way of cleaning mine water using physicochemical and biological processes that are commonly found in natural wetland ecosystems.
