Abstract
The master thesis deals with the excavation pit construction of the tunnel eastern portal in Prešov. In the beginning, the situation regarding the construction of highways in Slovakia is outlined. Furthermore, the thesis describes the area of interest and analyses the current state of the Prešov tunnel and his eastern portal in terms of geological engineering, hydrogeology, and technology. This fundamental information is used for the 3D model design of the excavation pit in Midas GTS NX. The result of the static analysis is slope stability, the stress-strain state of the excavation pit and the stress-strain state of the ground reinforcement. The master thesis also includes the design of the variant model and the comparison with the current design.
