Abstract
This diploma thesis is concerned with an AC link power converter operating in a pair of DC - DC or DC - AC connected networks. The introductory part fit it with the wider context of contemporary concepts issues, especially in terms of benefits of using AC links and its aspects of commercial expansion. Subsequently, the thesis pursue the analysis of the chosen concept's function in reference to operating modes and semiconductor switches control, related to analogy with commonly used inverters without AC links. The second part is concerned with a description of the laboratory convertor prototype made within this work and the higher level control proposed and applied on it subsequently. The thesis contains a basic analysis of control possibilities and the results obtained by applying the control algorithms to the assembled converter. In the context of the results obtained within the practical part, the possibilities of resumption the given topic are summarized.
