Abstract
This thesis deals with the deformation behavior of commercially pure titanium series
Grade 2, processed by severe plastic deformation (SPD). The process of forming was carried out by Conform - ECAP on the unit Conform 315i. This modern technology is so far little used and metals, which are characterized by low formability, almost unused. The aim of this work was to develop mathematical simulation using finite element method in the program DEFORM-3D, and then verify these results during the experiments. The monitored parameters over time forming the speed of the impeller, strain rate, temperature, effect of cooling and lubrication. Optimization of these parameters and developed a new modified forming chamber, yielded satisfactory results. The resulting wires were measured values of elongation, tensile strength and yield strength, toughness, microhardness and microstructure behaviour results.
