Abstract
The work focuses on a synchronous alternator and its use in a laboratory environment. The goal was to modernize the existing laboratory workstation. The theoretical section describes the operating principle of the alternator, its construction, excitation, losses, operating states, parallel operation, and synchronization with the grid. The practical section concentrates on describing the original workstation, preparing the technical documentation, and designing, implementing, and verifying the innovation. The innovation includes a 3D printed tablet holder, a box for voltage sensors, and a design of the measurement section. Finally, a laboratory manual is created, and based on it, no load measurements and V‑curve measurements are carried out.
