Abstract

The bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the use of the tactic of transition attack for firefighting in confined spaces. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide a comprehensive view of the tactic of transition attack and to evaluate the applicability of transition attack in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into four parts. In the introduction, the current state and general overview of firefighting in buildings is addressed. In the second part, the tactics of the transition attack are described: the advantages of the transition attack, the correct method of execution, the main objectives and the decision-making processes of the intervention commander. The third part is dedicated to the applicability of the transition attack in the Czech Republic. In the final part, examples of the use of the transition attack abroad and in the Czech Republic are presented and discussed.
