Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the use of Orthoptera as a bioaccumulator of potentially toxic elements. The study was conducted at the Ostrava city site. The main aim of this work is the evaluation of the laboratory analysis of the concentration of potentially toxic elements in the tissues of the Orthoptera. A partial objective was the evaluation of the laboratory analysis of the concentration of potentially toxic elements in the plant component of Trifolium pretense and soil samples. The research was conducted in the Moravian-Silesian region, in Ostrava. In this locality, 18 interest areas were assigned, which corresponded with the wind rose, which was at the center of the ArcelorMittal Ostrava plant. The diploma thesis emphasized the selection of such areas of interest, where the abundant occurrence of Orthoptera communities.
