Abstract

The topic of this bachelor thesis is “Mercury and its organic compounds in the environment” and it deals with individual forms of the mercury in the environment especially with its organic compounds, because exactly they could very dangerous. The work is focusing on the negative impact of the mercury pollution for the humankind and the environment. Next, there are also described possible decontamination technologies which would help to decrease the emission and imission limits in the case of ecological accident. Further, attention is paid to the elimination of the mercury including its organic and anorganic form entering the human body. The thesis is the assessment of environmental contamination in the Czech Republic.
