Abstract

Alliance française in Ostrava English is the most used language for 500 million people in the European Union. Despite of that fact, the interest of French increases every year. Nowadays the knowledge of French language makes many things easiar – work, studying, travelling. It also facilitates intercultural dialogue and supports the economy. The operation of Alliance française in Ostrava helps the educational and cultural development in Moravian-Silesian Region. The Bachelor´s work “Alliance française in Ostrava“ consists of three thematically structured chapters in addition to an introduction and conclusion. The origin, development and objective of francophility in the Czech Republic which is closely related to the birth of French Alliances in our country, are explained in the Chapter 1.
