Abstract

HLADÍKOVÁ, Jana Anastázie. Comparison Study of Psychological Services of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech and Slovak Republic. Diploma thesis. Ostrava: VŠB – TU Ostrava, 2015. pp. 85. This diploma thesis is based on comparison of psychological services of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech and Slovak Republic. The comparison is preceded by theory of stressful situations that members of the Fire Rescue Service are exposed to. There are also mentioned selected significant legislative and historical facts to create the image of two conceptions of psychological services in both countries. The same data including qualitative and quantitative researches were used to make a comparison of the work of the psychologists. In the quantitative research a questionnaire was used to get relevant answers for particular statements. The qualitative research was done by dialogues, which were meant to be an attempt to get feedback to improve the psychological services. Next part of this diploma thesis is a discussion about the acquired data; it focuses on individual conclusions and compares the results. The final conclusion of this diploma thesis discusses the initial goals and accuracy of their fulfilling and it also includes more proposals to achieve an improvement of the psychological services of Fire Rescue Service of the Czech and Slovak Republic.
