Abstract
In this work I am dealing with the possibilities utilization of waste rock from hard coal mines in building industry. In the first part describe the genesis of waste rock, geological conditions of OKR and petrographic composition of the waste rock from Paskov Mine. In the next part in detail giving mechanical, chemical and physico-chemical characteristics of waste rock. The conclusion summarizes the use of waste rock in the building industry in particular in relation to the actual construction of the motorway D47.
