Fixed Point Theorems and their Applications

Abstract

Suppose that we have some set $X$ and a mapping $T:X\to X$, we call $x\in X$ a fixed point of $T$ if $x=T(x)$. In the first part of this thesis we will be discussing conditions under which such a fixed point exists and in the second part we will introduce several applications for these fixed point theorems.
