Nůžky inspirované surrealismem

Abstract

Cílem této bakalářské práce je zhotovení bronzového odlitku rukojeti nůžek v duchu surrealismu. Nůžky mají sloužit k ceremoniím a zároveň symbolizovat odlov nosorožců kvůli jejich rohům. Tyto rohy jsou následně prodávány na černém trhu. Práce je rozdělena do dvou části, teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na surrealismus včetně surrealismu v českých zemích. Jsou zde rovněž zmínění umělci, kteří mě inspirovali. Dále se zabývá problematikou černého trhu se zvířaty, a nakonec stručnou historií nůžek včetně ceremoniálních. Praktická část se zabývá technologickým postupem výroby těla nůžek. Celý postup se skládá z návrhu modelu, zpracování pryskyřicového modelu, samotného odlití, dokončovacích metod a povrchové úpravy.

The aim of this Bachelor thesis is the manufacturing of a bronze scissors-handle casting, inspired by surrealism. The pair of scissors will serve a ceremonial purpose, and while doing so symbolize the excessive hunting and imminent extinction of the rhinoceros species. Rhinos' horns are taken and sold illegally on the black market. The thesis consists of two parts: the theoretical and the practical. The theoretical part focuses on the surrealism movement (including Czech surrealism), and also takes note of the artists who inspired my work. It further elaborates on the recent issue of the growing black market for the endangered species, and concludes with remarks on the history of scissors, including their ceremonial use. The practical part concerns the technology and casting procedure of the artistic scissors-handle. The process includes the initial model design, manufacturing of the resin-based casting model, the casting itself, post-manufacturing processes, and surface treatment.
