Abstract

The thesis deals with the role of urban and inter-urban transport in regional cities of Czechia. It aims to assess the public transport using localization of the major interchange nodes in regional cities and the subsequent analysis of transport links between municipalities of origin forming around regional cities and the destination stops of urban transport in regional cities. Then to consider whether the interchange nodes are well localized, how the spatial homogeneity and frequency of use changes over time, and to evaluate the commuting time. The assessment of the accessibility of these interchange nodes in the regional cities is also an important part. All this for the evaluation of the role of urban and inter-urban transport needs for commuting to work. This is based on data from Censuses and searching transport connections through the server idos.cz and software TRAM.
