Abstract

The aim of this study was to characterize the costs of the selected sets of municipalities. I chose the municipalities of the district Frydek-Mistek. The district is located 72 municipalities, the costs were calculated for the selected 22 municipalities. The first part is attended to the municipal system. It describes the history of municipalities, the definition of municipalities, their types and authorities. Further in this chapter is defined cost community site. The main part is attended to the characterization of the district Frydek-Mistek, its four largest cities, this chapter also contains a tables with the calculated average administration costs and their comparison. For the calculations was used data from the years 2007 - 2009. The last chapter is attended to the journalistic elaboration of the topic. It includes public inquiry, article and interviews.
