Abstract

My main focus in this thesis was to analyze the evolution of low cost airline prices. The goal is to gather enough information for potential customers so that they have a platform of information to use while choosing plane tickets. The data gathered were analysed using basic methods of descriptive statitics which make an image about how and why prices change. As a result the data gathered truly show basic factors which influence price levels that will allow potential buyers to make a choice based on factual information. Based on these results can be assumed that on average the cheapest plane ticket is from Wizzair. It is also possible to assume that it’s best to buy plane ticket as soon as possible and that plane tickets are the most expensive on Monday and Sunday.
