Abstract

The presented thesis contains an elaborated overview of waste management in Fulnek. The first section contains a list of valid legislation in waste management for municipal waste, including the draft amendment to the Waste Act and generally binding ordinances. The second part focuses on the foudning of the municipal technical services and their impact on the city waste management. The third part provides an overview of waste produced over the past five years, from 2007 to 2011. The following part describes economic management from the city point of view. Is it beneficial for the cities to run their own technical services or not? In this work I am also proposing new ideas and innovations improving the sorting of city waste and streamlining the overall costs of waste management.
