Abstract
The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the characteristics and description of the physico-chemical properties of Colloids. Also includes a description of the production and application of water glass and geopolymers in the manufacture of moulds and cores in the foundry industry. A separate chapter is devoted to the description of the property on Self hardnening-mixtures, the kind of sands and its influence on the technological properties of moulding (core) with a mixture of selected technological procedures and tests.
The practical part includes the determination of the impact of selected binders and sands of Polish provenance on the collapsibility of Self hardening-mixtures. It is also studied the influence of catalyst composition on lifetime (the time disassembling) test of sand mixtures.
