Abstract

Thesis titled „Rationalization of Order System in the Building Industry“ is focused on the rationalization of order system of Telko Company Ltd. Thesis is composed of four chapters. The first chapter is a description of Telko Company Ltd., a list of theoretical background of the issue (information system, software engineering, software development methodologies, UML and ER modeling) and analysis of current order system. The second chapter describes the design of the new system – a database application. The second chapter contains a vision of a new custom system, specification of user requirements, design of data structures, design and description of key components, design of graphical user interface and a description of the possibilities of application portability. The third chapter focuses on implementation. Introduction of the third chapter is devoted to a description of MySQL and Java technologies, which are used to implement database applications. Followed by implementation of selected components in the Java programming language. The last chapter suggests possible paths for future development of application and provides the benefits of this thesis.
