Abstract
This master‘s thesis is focused on preparation and characterization of antibacterial hybrid nanocomposites based on vermiculite/zinc oxide/chlorhexidine. The aim of this work is to compare the influence of fabrication routes on hybrid nanocomposites. Theoretical part defines fundamentals, preparation, properties, and antibacterial activity of these materials. Practical part is concerned with the synthesis of hybrid nanocomposites using either sonochemical or mechanochemical method. Treated samples were characterised by X-ray diffraction (RTG), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), particle size distribution, specific surface area analysis, and total carbon concentration analysis. The antibacterial efficiency was evaluated by finding the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) against Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
