Abstract

The RWE Distribution Services strategy is based on a vision of a top supplier of services which ensures reliable and safe operation of gas facilities. In order to fulfil this mission it is necessary, above all, to improve safety, reliability, professional approach and service quality. The companies RWE Distribution Services, Ltd. and Jihomoravská Gas, Inc. have started the project of Workforce Management. Since its inception, it has undergone an extensive development and has reached the stage at which it is ready to start being tested and subsequently implemented in all regions. It is a system dealing with the management of mobile field workers via modern technology. The Workforce Management project will require considerable adjustments in the procedural and organizational models and it will bring some significant changes. The project is a great challenge for the future and also a huge opportunity for the companies and all their employees.
