Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on The Effectiveness of Thermal Insulation Plaster in the fight against mold (micromycetes). It describes the general theory of biocorrosion and its effect on construction works, further defines the most common causes of biodeteriogen appearance in constructions. It represents thermal insulating palette-knife TK®-THERM as a possible solution. The expertimental part of work is dedicated to observing the mentioned product´s effect on growth of microorganisms cultivated in three different nutrient soil types while in laboratory environment. In conclusion there are charts, photographies made during experiment and summary characterizing the TK®-THERM product´s effect on microbial colonies growth.
