Abstract

The first part of bachelor thesis I characteristics external devices, communication bus, type of data storage and reliability. The next chapter deals the general IT security and data protection methods before potential threats coming from outside. The next part describes the possible software and hardware security solutions for memory devices, using cryptographic algorithms and other security mechanisms. The practical part presents the proposed solutions, in the form of open-source encryption program VeraCrypt and similar variants.
