Komparatívna štúdia vnímania rodových rolí v armáde SR a ČR.

Abstract

Predložená bakalárska práca sa zaoberá problematikou rodových rolí a ich vnímania v prostredí Ozbrojených síl Slovenskej republiky a Armády Českej republiky. V prvej časti práce je uvedené vymedzenie základných pojmov, ako sú rod, rodové roly a rodové stereotypy, ako aj problematika rodovej nerovnosti a diskriminácie v pracovnom prostredí. V ďalšej časti sa práca zameriava na špecifiká rodových otázok v ozbrojených silách a na charakteristiku vojenského prostredia. Osobitná pozornosť je venovaná postaveniu žien v armáde a historickému vývoju ich zapájania do vojenskej služby, ako aj problematike rodovej rovnosti v podmienkach Slovenskej republiky a Českej republiky. Praktická časť práce je spracovaná formou kvantitatívneho výskumu realizovaného prostredníctvom anonymného online dotazníka medzi príslušníkmi ozbrojených síl. Cieľom výskumu bolo zistiť vnímanie rodových rolí, stereotypov, kariérnych možností mužov a žien a skúseností so znevýhodnením. Získané údaje boli spracované pomocou základných štatistických metód a komparácie medzi oboma krajinami. Výsledky poukazujú na pretrvávanie rodových stereotypov, rozdielne očakávania voči mužom a ženám a rozdiely vo vnímaní týchto javov medzi Slovenskou republikou a Českou republikou.

This bachelor’s thesis addresses the issue of gender roles and their perception within the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic and the Army of the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis defines the key concepts of gender, gender roles, and gender stereotypes, and examines gender inequality and discrimination in the workplace. The following part focuses on the specific nature of gender-related issues in military environments and outlines the characteristics of military service. Particular attention is paid to the position of women in the armed forces, the historical development of their participation in military service, and the issue of gender equality in both the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic. The practical part of the thesis is based on quantitative research conducted through an anonymous online questionnaire among members of the armed forces. The aim of the research was to examine the perception of gender roles, gender stereotypes, career opportunities for men and women, and experiences of disadvantage. The collected data were analysed using basic statistical methods and a comparative approach between the two countries. The results indicate the persistence of gender stereotypes, differing expectations towards men and women, and variations in how these issues are perceived in the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic.
