Abstract

The aim of the thesis is to study earthworms as a bioindicator of reclaimed areas after coal mining in the surroundings of the town of Most. There were two sites, Pařidlo lobe and Slatinice dump. The first step was to study the work of Husmanová from 2014. The next step was to obtain available literature and study the methodology of collecting earthworms and collecting soil samples. The content of this work is sampling of different types of bioindicators (earthworms) and subsequent determination of abundance, biomass and species diversity of earthworms. The conclusion of the thesis includes the evaluation of the results and their comparison with the work of Husmanová from 2014. The research included measures for the admission to individual sites and sampling.
