Integrační seskupení ASEAN a efekty jeho spolupráce s EU

Abstract

This thesis deals with the integration grouping ASEAN and the effects of its cooperation with the EU. The goal is to analyze creation and development of ASEAN based on theoretical knowledge, to characterize its external relations and to evaluate the economic co-operation with an emphasis on cooperation with the European Union. It defines the basic aspects of integration, characterizes creation and development of AESAN, its objectives, policies and institutional structure. Furthermore, it dedicates fulfilling the progress in integration trends from the 70th of 20th century to the present. The emphasis is also placed on ASEAN´s external relations with selected countries of Asia-Pacific region and EU. The benefit is an approximation of data on human development and ASEAN trade and highlighting of effects arising from ASEAN-EU cooperation.
