Spotřeba domácností a Ricardovská ekvivalence v České republice

Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with different methods of financing government purchases. According to the traditional Keynesian approach the substitution of taxes with government debt leads to stimulation of aggregate demand. According to the Ricardian equivalence hypothesis government debt and taxes are equivalent methods of financing government expenditures. There were individual approaches of financing government purchases and empirical studies of Ricardian equivalence resolved in the theoretical part. In the empirical part of this diploma thesis, the validity of hypothesis of Ricardian equivalence in conditions of the Czech Republic on chosen reduced consumption function and on its modification were tested. Author in this work concluded that in both of cases it is impossible to confirm the validity of hypothesis.
