Abstract

The diploma thesis is focused on usability, in particular sensitivity, nondestructive methods (NDTs) for detecting and examining intentionally removed (sanded) marks in metal materials. The experiments were conducted on S355 low-alloy structural steel, C45 carbon plating steel, Brinar 400 high-abrasion steel, a low-carbon steel sheet with a given chemical composition, and 20MnCr5 low-alloy noble manganese-chromium steel. The examination was carried out using a magnetic powder method, active induction thermography, radiographic method, scanning electron microscopy. All the results of all the methods are a big shift in the criminology-technical practice in this issue. In particular, the work highlights the results of active induction thermography and magnetic powder methods. The experiments performed and their results are beneficial because of the application to unique samples.
