Abstract
The presented work compares three interesting sights - The Silesian – Ostrava castle, castle ruin Hukvaldy and chateau Fryštát in Karviná. The first part focuses on the historical development of sights, ownership and their current form of these monuments. Thein equipment, ticket price and programs is briefly described. There are also notes the availability, the overall condition of the premises and attractive surroundings. Everything is then compared excel Strengths and weaknesses of these castles and chateaux. The next section describes the ways of sights advertising by regional office. There are presented two important projects of the EU, which supports the promotion of the Moravian-Silesian Region and its monuments. Consequently, it is compared the level of websites of the region, the city and the monuments. The last part focuses on the tourists and their main reasons for visiting the region. At the end, SWOT analysis shows the strengths and weaknesses that affect the visit rate and made recommendations to improve the situation.
