Abstract

KUNCOVÁ, Lucie. Modernization of Physical Security in a Primary School. Ostrava 2026. Bachelor Thesis, VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Safety Engineering, Department of Security Services. Supervisor: Ing. Miriam Kadlubcová Ph.D. This bachelor thesis focuses on assessing the level of physical security of a selected primary school. The theoretical part defines the concept of physical security and specifies the relevant legal framework. This is followed by a description of the history, current state, and existing security measures of the selected facility. The objective of the thesis is to conduct a risk assessment and propose appropriate measures to increase the level of protection. All procedures are carried out in compliance with current legislation and technical standards ČSN 73 4400 and ČSN P CEN/TS 14383-6. The final part of the thesis includes an economic evaluation of the proposed modernization.
