Abstract

Object of this thesis is to verify effectiveness and evaluate usefulness of ferrates in for removal of problematic and nowadays very discussed contaminants of waste water, which are pharmaceutics from the group of NSAIDs and estrogenic hormonal drugs. In this work was used potassium ferrate from company NANOIRON s.r.o. Interactions between ferrates and mentioned substances in model water solutions and waste water were observed. It was concluded from results obtained in this work that potassium ferrate can remove in different conditions ibuprofen from 4.25% to 78.09%, diclofenac from 30.10% to 100%, estrone from 47.27% to 99.27% and ethynylestradiol from 80% to 100%. from model water solutions samples.
