Abstract

Thesis describes the design and simulation of quasi-distributed temperature sensor in the program OptiSystem. The first chapter explains the concept of an optical sensor, its division into groups by type of use. Furthermore, the production of optical sensor. In the second chapter describes Bragg grating, parameters, method of use and production technology. The next section describes interrogation techniques for converting wavelength shift due to temperature change or strain to another more easily measurable variable, such as amplitude, phase or frequency. The last theoretical chapter is devoted to multiplexed methods for the possibility of more inosculation behind Bragg sensors in a row on one fiber. The fifth chapter shows how the temperature sensor was designed in OptiSystem program, which has a measuring range, accuracy and sensitivity. The sixth section a solution how one fiber applied using time multiplex dozens of sensors and thus measure the temperature at multiple points along the route, where the optical fiber is applied.
