Abstract

The aim of this Bachelor's dissertation is the comparison of work and economical activities of volunteer fire departments in the region of Olomouc. The theoretical part focuses on fire protection institution in the Czech Republic and explains further its organisational characteristics and structure. Describes Fire Rescue Services in the Czech Republic and division of Fire protection units, their establishment, effectiveness, tasks and funding. Provides characteristics of The local volunteer fire departments, their aim and tasks together with their funding. The practical part concentrates on selected Local volunteer fire departments with analysis of their structure, activities and economy. The results are put into comparison. The conclusion suggests ideas for effective development.
