Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the process of dark fermentation for the purpose of hydrogen production. The work contains teoretical part which focuses on literary research of hydrogen production through dark fermentation. A total of 8 experiments were carried out under different conditions. Effect of temperature, substrate and time of inoculum pretreatment on hydrogen production are evaluated in discussion of results. Effluent from laboratory reactor seems to be the best substrate for biohydrogen production based on the experiments. Using this substrate a hydrogen production of 220,98 ml/g VS.
