Abstract

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the safety risks when collecting biogas from landfills, including a proposal for risk reduction measures. It contains description of biogas, history of its use and the difference between biogas and the landfill gas. Furthermore, the thesis is focused on the landfill of communal waste in the OZO Ostrava company, especially on the technology itself of the landfill gas collection. The risk analysis, which leads to security and safety measures at the landfill represents also an important part of the bachelor thesis.
