Abstract
This thesis deals with the issue of chemical-heat treatment of steel. It summarizes the theoretical foundations of the nature of chemical-heat treatment aimed at carburizing of the gaseous atmosphere and the vacuum carburizing. Within the experimental work were described modes for individual samples carburizing steel. It was verified carburizing effect on the structure of carburized layer and the core material in a gaseous environment and a vacuum. Was detected waveform of hardness and depth of carburizing layer by Vickers hardness at low load. For selected samples were subjected to chemical analysis of surface defects. From the viewpoint of hardness of carburized layer reached components processed both technologies same values but different hardness was observed in the core components. Components subjected to vacuum carburizing showed a higher purity of the surface layer.
