Abstract

First part of the work determinates theoretical principal of mechanical testing with deeper evaluation of impact tests analyse. Second part concerns the performance of impact test itself by Charpy method. The subject matter is to show the influence of notch shape on impact values. The U and V notch shaped testing samples with different depth of the notch are subject of comparison. The tests have been performed in the conditions of the company ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s. In conclusion of the work analyse of the results is carried out.
