Abstract

It goes without saying that our society recognizes the aesthetic and functional value of nature and the basis of this approach is for us to protect nature. Such views, however, gradually came not only to European civilization in the modern era as a result of a long cultural development. With the changes in the society in economic, social and technical development at the mixed influences of philosophy, art and science. Today, the enthusiasm of nature preceded indifference, sometimes even resistance. For a long time there was no sense of appreciation for the beauty of the landscapes unaffected by man, nor conscious effort to protect them for the general benefit. These activities came slowly. This thesis aims unveiling a knowledge of basic impulses standing at the creation of the first protected areas in the CHKO Beskydy and their integration into the historical stage of development the society.
